ABSTRACT

 This study investigated counseling service as determinant of career choices among secondary school students in Iba Local Government, Lagos State. The population of this study consisted of 150 students. Simple random sampling technique was used in selecting 5 secondary school, from which 30 students was drawn for the study making a total of 150 respondents. A descriptive Survey research design, data were collected from respondent through the administration of (CSDCC) was used as a data collection tool and it is subjected to reliability test of + 0.73 coefficient, PPMCC was used to test statistics, the findings revealed that counseling influence on career choice of secondary school students’ in Iba Local Government, Lagos State  simple percentage distribution was used to present data ,it is Recommended that frequent intervention programmes need to be organised for students in order for them to make well informed choices improve upon their academic performances and  ministry of education should give more recognition to counseling services as essential in schools and ensure that all schools have an effective counseling service as  there are students who need guidance and counseling..
